Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeships

Programmed, in partnership with Woodside Energy Ltd, is recruiting applicants to undertake Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeships in Karratha.

This apprenticeship will provide you with a comprehensive practical and theoretical base to develop your electrical instrumentation skills, understanding of technical procedures and knowledge of safe working practices.

Electrical Instrumentation Apprentices assist in maintaining and enhancing the availability and integrity of instrument and electrical equipment and control systems. This role involves the routine maintenance of equipment including repair, fault finding and assisting with shutdown activities including the overhaul of equipment, such as gas turbines, compressors and generators.

This apprenticeship is delivered over a four year term, where you will work towards achieving a Certificate IV in Instrumentation (MEM40105) and Certificate III in Industrial Electrician (MEM31215).

To be considered as a potential candidate for an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship, you will have:

  • Successfully completed secondary education to year 11, with relevant work experience or successful completion/progression towards a pre-apprenticeship in a relevant field.
  • A willingness to lead and work as part of a team
  • Technical and problem solving skills
  • The desire to have a career in Oil & Gas
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening test.
