Forklift Warehouse Preparation Course

Posted: 5th Jul

Interested in getting into Warehousing industry??

Today there were 1,090 job vacancies listed on for forklift operators. It is an area of work with almost constant demand and good opportunities for progression. However, the theory test (WorkCover related) is difficult to pass and good preparation is needed.

With this in mind, we have partnered with Linfox Logistics to create a pathway to work in the warehousing/logistics sector. This is what it involves:

4 day “Prepare To Work In Warehousing” course with Kensington Neighbourhood House. This training focuses exclusively on preparing to pass the theory test for a High Risk Work Licence (forklift). It will include a visit from Linfox HR to talk about what is needed to get a job in warehousing. Our teacher has successfully undertaken forklift driver training and also has significant experience teaching adults from diverse backgrounds.

2 day training course with Linfox Operational Training (TLILIC2001A Licence To Operate A Forklift Truck). This is conducted in small groups (max 4 students) to allow individual attention and maximise practical driving time.
Follow up assistance from KNH with licence applications, resume preparation and introductions to labour hire companies.

Full program fee is $250. This is significantly cheaper than any other forklift training in Melbourne (average $450-$675).

Participants will need to hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence and undertake a language and numeracy assessment to determine suitability for this training.

First course starts 8th August.
